Welcome to The Blog

Welcome to the blog I will hopefully update while overseas as often as I can. In case you couldn't tell, I'm going to London from January 2-18. I won't be alone, as Jesse will not leave my side for a moment. I'm taking ENG300 (Travel Writing) and will probably wind up posting all my assignments here...

Jesse and I are staying (and taking our classes) at the Royal National Hotel, the largest hotel in London, world-renowned for theft. I'm bringin my laptop anyway, keepin my fingers crossed about the whole theft thing. I feel okay, since I backed everything up on my hard drive.

Goals:
I want to eat fish and chips, meat pies and sample other bland local food. I want to ride the London Eye Ferris wheel and take pictures/video atop it. I want to visit the National Gallery, and a bunch of other museums (for free of course). On a free day, I know we both really wanna go see the Louvre in Paris. English teatime is a must. I gotta try out all the British Accents I know, and probably wont stop talking like it when I get back. I wanna buy a coat of some kind there. Maybe find someone with a guitar and gently coerce them to lemme play...

I'm taking my new camera with all kinds of cool settings on it for a ton of pictures - and yes, I will take pictures of Jesse, even though it is unconfirmed whether or not he shows up in pictures. (Like a vampire). I will post my Skype name on Facebook (so the whole world isn't callin us) so you can talk to either Jesse or myself at certain times that we will announce.

I'm super excited, but you know what, neither of us knows what's gonna happen.

- I may get detained with unknown reasons at the airport, and waterboarded for being Caucasian-ally challenged.
- Street-Urchins (orphans) might steal and stab us with their small shanks that only little fingers could fashion.
- We may get hit with Jeremy the Ripper; Jack's less-formidable but equally effective killer great-great grandson.
- London bridge could fall down (It's been threatening to do that for years).
- Lack of seasoning or flavor of any kind in English food just may kill us.

But either way, thanks to everyone I know who has affected me in any way, since everyone I know helped shape me in some way. I've had a fantastic life, am super excited for the trip, and hope you'll all enjoy reading the blog!
